Welcome to The Alternative Book Club, a monthly stand-up comedy night about books.

We’ve been running since September 2018 at The Bottle of Sauce in Cheltenham, featuring talks from comedians and friends of the book club on almost every topic – from the Epic of Gilgamesh to Kim Kardashian’s Selfish.

Alt Book Club is founded and hosted by Shirley Halse.
